Neck Lift

A Neck Lift is a surgical procedure done by plastic surgeons to improve visible signs of aging on the neck.  As individuals age, the skin and muscles of the neck region begin to lose tone.  While the neck lift cannot stop the process of aging, it can improve the most visible signs of aging by tightening deeper structures, re-draping the skin of the neck, and removing selected areas of fat.  It can be performed as a single procedure, but a better result can be obtained if it's done as a part of a total facial rejuvenation.  It can be done in conjunction with other ancillary procedures such as a browlift, liposuction, eyelid surgery, and/or nasal surgery.  Additional procedures increase operative time, amount of swelling, possible complications, immediate and long-term recovery time.

Neck Lift surgery is individualized for each patient.  The best candidates for neck lift surgery have neck lines that have begun to sag, but whose skin has elasticity and whose bony structure is well defined.
