Botox Injections

Approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Botox® for cosmetic use confirms the findings of numerous clinical studies that the drug is safe and effective for wrinkle reduction. Of the individuals whose decision to have Botox® injections would be influenced by FDA approval, 72 percent would be more likely to try it, according to a national survey of people's attitudes conducted for ASPS.

Botox® is most often used for "frown lines" between the eye brows, and for "crows feet" at the side of the eyes.  Properly injected, Botox® does not "freeze" your face or make you look expressionless, which is the greatest fear expressed by many who have considered the procedure.  Another fear is that taking Botox® injections is putting Botulinium into your system - this is not accurate.  Botox® is a purified protein derived from the bacteria that causes botulism.  It is not botulism.  Years of clinical experience in millions of patients has also proven Botox® to be safe and effective when properly administered by a trained professional.
